SHINE OF HOPE
‘Country home,take me home…..’ .A light,chubby, middle age lady with a face of despair and
hopeless marks back her footprints on the land of her hometown. .The passing of years printed
through the wrinkle of ages. Days of feeling anguish and insecurity had not been given back
on what it should be.
Jessy’s uncle Jack Matthew was a recognized international boxing coach. Witnessing his
huge accomplishment and endowment in boxing had granted him as the champion holder for
five years since 2000.Attempted with coincidence, 12 years old little Jessy was also interested
in boxing sport.
The first day of training had resulted in Jessy feeling an intense feeling since she is the only
female. Nevertheless, this does not stop Jessy to pursue her dream. Every day she is given
the one- to one training by her uncle and this leads to a high-rise improvement in her stamina
and performance. Day by day, she had successfully to not beaten down by men
counterparts.So, she is chosen as the only the female to compete at the national level.
Life is unpredictable as the weather, her uncle’s coaching career comes to the end when
Jessy’s presence was discovered by the boxing club authority. At Tuesday 7 December, the
club newly employed a coach who substituted the position of Jessy’s uncle .Max is his name,
he is the freshly graduated coach.In the first class of training ,Max purposely marginalizes
Jessy from the training. He ordered Jessy to sit aside while waiting for her turn to come.
However, Jessy are completely ignored by others while spending her whole session sitting
on the stool. The same scenario repeated for the next day until the third day. Jessy felt
threatened and frustrated for waiting. Thus she bravely attempted Max and asked for the
reason she was marginalized. “Max I am really keen in combating sport,when can I start for
training?” asked Jessy. Suprisingly, Max acted if nothing had happen and delisted Jessy
name from the national play.Max also mentioned that Jessy as a women should be sitting at
home and too weak to participate in combating sports.At that moment,Jessy felt complete
despair and hopeless . She spends plenty of time strolling along the street and indulging
herself in the effect of alcohol.
Jessy’s parents’ pain in their hearts while seeing a Jessy suffer .Thus they struggle for their
best to get her a job. Jessy felt regretful while seeing her parents being busy undergoing
sleepless night in order to find her a job .So , she started to live positively by getting herself a
job in an restaurant . As years pass ,Jessy is now a recognize waitress in this little area thanks
to her dedication and integrity in serving customers. Jessy learn to be gratitude and being
embrace to the turning point in her life.
